Free Plan Collaboration!

Friends:

If you saw my latest video on the Advanced Shooting Board, then you know it was a collaboration with James Wright . James made a fancy and VERY impressive shooting board with all the bells and whistles.

I always give my Patrons plans for free, but just to up the ante, I proposed to James that we trade plans and make BOTH sets free to our Patrons. He graciously agreed and I'm happy to present the combined plans for your enjoyment.

The plans are attached to this post and posted on the Discourse Plan Archive.

But James is so competitive that he just couldn't let it stop there!  He's making every single plan on his website half price for my Patrons for the next week. Just go to James' store and use the code WOODBY50 at checkout. (This offer is only for plans and it's only for one week, so go grab your plans now.)

(Oh, and James and I use different software to make our plans and there were some compatibility issues in making the combined document. James' plans display slightly smaller than mine and the links in his do not work, but everything he links to is easy to find. Shout-out to Nate for working late into the night yesterday to make this all happen!)

Hope your enjoy! Thanks again for all your support!

For me, I prefer IMAO, In My Arrogant Opinion. Love your programs Rex.

I've always been a maker (of all sorts of things). It's only since retiring that I've taken up woodworking. YouTube has taught me SO MUCH, and you, Rex, are my favourite. I made one of those boards without the parts on top, and glued on an A3 cutting mat. It's handy for all sorts of things (but I don't know if it has a name).

I will refrain. Does humble work?

The Poor Man

You might want to do the mallet first. Easier.

If you ever call your opinion "worthless" again, I shall ban you from this platform! You are valued here!

Rex Krueger

I'd do the bench first. Need that to use the mallet and the shooting board...and others.

John Ervin

It's a fun, slippery slope this woodworking thing. Sounds like your mallet and bench will have more straight cuts then mine. :) Have fun, Ian!

I watched your video on Saturday when you posted it here then I watched James's video yesterday. Both shooting boards in my worthless opinion have their own unique values that make them about even. I think that my favorite part from both videos was the banter between you guys, very entertaining. I dont know about everyone else but I do hope you guys do more things like this. Have a great day Rex, and yes thank you Nate.

The Poor Man

I'm just starting out, so this will be one of my first projects... Then a mallet, then a bench......

I've been planning to make a shooting board for too long. This is the plan I was waiting for! Thanks, Rex.
