I think I've gotten more requests for these plans than any others! So, I'm very excited to present you the plans for the Advanced Joiner's Mallet. I hope everyone finds these clear and accessible. I hope many of you build this mallet and then show us all the pictures.

One other question I had, when watching the video, it seems like you have your mallet head finished/sealed before even cutting mortise / curves. Am I mistaken in seeing that? If not, why finish the piece before you cut? I'm new and honestly dont know. Also, what did you use to finish the piece? So many questions 🙈

I just cut my mallet head from a big maple round I've had sitting around. Split it and sawed down then planned to a perfect 6"x3"x2 3/4" stoked to keep going. Doing this all by hand. I had a question, does the handle go through the 2 3/4" side or the 3" side? I guess another way to ask this, which side gets the 7 degree angle cut for the faces?
