The Real Lathe is done and it works. The details are all in the video. It's been a wild ride building my own full-size machine tool, but it's also been a lot fun and a HUGE learning experience.

Hi Rex, did you ever issue drawings for the Real Lathe? I have a Shop Smith and the tool rest is very bad. The tool rest for the Real Lather would be a vast improvement of the one I have. The problem I have is the cam lock mechanism. Some drawings of the cam lock mechanism would be very helpful to me. Thanks.
