Diane’s plan had worked! She had seduced one of the players, the kunoichi Lady Reiko, and lured her into an encounter with the vampire who had Lyvette under his thrall. The exchange descended into armed conflict far quicker than Diane had expected, pitting all three players against the vampire, a veteran player Reiko had identified as “Fanglord” (aka Marius Demarest, Earl of Duskhaven). During the chaos that ensued, Diane managed to drag her dazed roommate down the stairs and made her way toward the exit, hoping Lyvette would come out of it once they were out of range of the vampire’s power. Unfortunately, it looked like the players were getting their asses kicked by Fanglord, and Diane felt a bit guilty about that. Then Fanglord’s allies entered the inn…
