The notion of spending the rest of her life as a tavern wench in an online fantasy game had seemed rather degrading to Diane DeSantis, but at least it had the benefit of being the safest choice of the three NPCs into which she could have uploaded her memories. Or so she thought at the time. Diane, now known to the denizens of Fantasie Unchained as Madalyn Lambert, had barely begun her first shift at the Dancing Duchess Inn before things took a turn toward the weird.
