Being an Asian group, I was intrigued by their group’s seemingly non-Asian name so i did some small research and found “stella” is Italian for “star” so their group name means “ForestStar”. There is a googled quote that states, “music as comforting as the forest and as bright as the stars”. It does not necessarily attribute that quote directly to the group. I am a Pentaholic who joined your Patreon because I enjoy your reactions so much. A few things about this song: I loved the bass opening and I also greatly appreciated your mention of passing the “sickness” on to the next singer by breaking “mala-de” into two parts. That’s pretty genius! Also, I thought the baritone, when he chose to use his chest voice, had a beautiful, round sound unlike, say, Scott from Pentatonix who tends to spread his sound (he can still sing softly and his tone is beautiful… I just don’t find it as round - Avi has that kind of roundness to his sound). That top “C” by the counter-tenor was impressive, it was a very good sound and even though it was forte it did not sound stressed to me. Overall, I was very strongly reminded of Opera by their sheer dramatic performance (and even some of their sounds). As for your emotional reaction, I hope you never apologize for that, after all, music’s very purpose is to move us emotionally. Looking forward to more of your reactions, I’m stretching my musical wings because of you.
