Possible image backstory: With an increase in trade with the human kingdoms, a lot more visitors have been coming to the monster village. Many of which have found themselves willingly involved in the village's more 'interesting' traditions for maintaining and growing the village population. Seeing opportunity, a few budding eutrepreneurs quickly opened up a tavern (and brothel) where visitors can engage with the village traditions in a more controlled (and lucrative) environment. It has become a popular spot for travellers to visit, and many visitors hope to have the luck to visit on a day when one of the village leaders take their rotation through the tavern.
