This is SPaceX's first on-chain activity in three years. This $29 consolidation transaction suggests a strategic adjustment rather than a sale. If you didn't take advantage of being a beta tester and sign up for the $5/mo subscription, you will pay the a standard $10/mo. T-Mobile says 911 texting will be available later this year to any mobile customer with a compatible device, regardless of carrier. ■ X:

- In a unanimous ruling, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with X, limiting the U.S. government’s ability to impose gag orders that prevent X from notifying the public about government search warrants and subpoenas. Last year, X received a subpoena demanding personal information of former FBI agents and whistleblowers Kyle Seraphin and Garrett O’Doyle, who had revealed to Congress the FBI’s improper targeting of politically disfavored groups, leading to their firing and a criminal investigation in apparent retaliation. X challenged it, arguing it violated federal statutes and the First Amendment. X is free to promote transparency and accountability in government investigations.

■ xAI:

- Elon posted pics showing us our first views inside Colossus 2. Per Elon, "Cable pr0n of xAI's GB200 servers at Colossus 2. All liquid-cooled. 230k GPUs, including 30k GB200s, are operational for training Grok in a single supercluster called Colossus 1 (inference is done by our cloud providers). At Colossus 2, the first batch of 550k GB200s & GB300s, also for training, start going online in a few weeks. As Jensen Huang has stated, xAI is unmatched in speed. It’s not even close. The xAI goal is 50 million in units of H100 equivalent-AI compute (but much better power-efficiency) online within 5 years."

Per xAI's Colossus Lead Brent Mayo (@BrentM_SpaceX), "Why spend 2-3 years engineering and planning, then 2-3 years building when you can do it all in one year. The xAI Memphis team has been slightly busy. 🔌"

Per xAI's Andree Jacobson (@nmswede), "We're just getting started..."

- The latest image of Colossus 2 in Southaven.

The xAI Memphis account stated, "In mid-February we broke ground at our new data center at Tulane in Shelby County, Tennessee. We have begun deploying the initial phase of computing infrastructure. This initiative includes the installation of an additional 110,000 NVIDIA GB200 GPUs, powered by a diverse array of energy sources, similar to Colossus. We are building similar redundancies for Colossus 2 that mimics the success we’ve seen at Colossus. This includes Tesla Megapacks to provide critical support during peak demand periods, ensuring a stable power supply while safeguarding Shelby County residents from potential blackouts. We expect to power on this facility within the next few weeks. As is the case at Electrolux, we are excited to be a valuable partner to Memphis."

- Reports are dropping that xAI is working with Valor Equity Partners to secure up to $12 billion in debt to expand and purchase more Nvidia chips to train and power Grok. Valor Equity Partners is an investment firm whose founder is Elon's close friend Antonio Gracias. They are in talks with lenders to raise the capital. They are saying some lenders are requiring repayment within a short timeframe of three years and capping the borrowed amount to limit risk. They are also setting a limit on how much can be borrowed, preventing the company from taking on excessive debt that could be harder to repay. None of the has been confirmed and Elon is quick to dismiss such reports if untrue.
