What a moving story and touching movie. I really loved Andrew Garfield in this and the fact that it's a true story is so stunning to think about. I had no idea there could be conscientious objectors in the military so I was very interested to learn about this. The war scenes were very hard to watch but this was such an important story to tell.

2022-04-08 13:45:41 +0000 UTCYou hit the nail on the head about Andrew Garfield. He has this magnetism where you can't help but root for him. A really interesting movie with him is Under the Silver Lake, kind of a modern noir, a really interesting exploration of obsession, and Garfield is characteristically captivating. Another one would be Silence. Both very intense but very different performances. He's an actor who I follow closely and am really interested in the trajectory of his career. Still haven't seen Tick Tick Boom, but regardless of the quality of the film, I'm sure he's great in it. Great reaction, very emotional and tender, and as always, a joy to watch along with you.
