Here's a quick look at the Tejina animation for this month.
There's still a lot to do, and the mechanic needs work, but I think it's coming along nicely!
I'm going to have a lives system in place so you don't end up just spamming every card for the easy win.
My thought process is going like this: Three lives, three tries. Every time you get the card right you gain back one life, Tejina grows, the time between the cards flipping gets faster, and you get to manage a high-score (and maybe achievements if I get time), but if you use up all three lives Tejina shrinks the small amount you gained.
It's a pretty simple mechanic, but it rewards paying attention.
There's other ideas I have in mind if this one fails in practice, but for now this is a solid base to go off of.
