Treasure: Mauricia's Diamonds
Added 2023-07-05 03:08:32 +0000 UTCIf you're familiar with a book featuring four French musketeers who never backed down from a fight, you might be familiar with a set of diamonds that played an important part in the story.
I may have read it about 35 years ago, but it's still inspiration for today's Treasure Tuesday.
A bit late because of other stuff happening on this 4th day of July, but I didn't forget.

I took a lot from the story (The Three Musketeers) and history for this one; - the number of diamond studs (12) - the (replacement) value of each (1,500 pistoles...gold coins) - the name of the queen (thanks, Wikipedia) The appearance of them on a ribbon came from an illustration in the version of the book I read in middle school.
