2023: a new year, with new D&D content always in the works
Added 2023-01-07 20:33:49 +0000 UTCGreetings, all.
First up, I just wanted to say hello to everyone, and send out a thanks to the people that stop by and check the variety of stuff I make for this game of pretend that we all enjoy. Double thanks to those who support my creativity as patrons of the D&D arts.
Almost a week into this new year already, and I've been a busy dragon. I figured I'd share some of the stuff that I've been working on, as well as what's in the works.
I'm spending a lot of time adding existing content to my upcoming book and creating new D&D stuff to include in it. The book is currently at over 250 pages of solid content, there's still more to go, and I have not yet added or even made space for any artwork.
I'm working on a new collection of 16 poison-themed spells, which will be finished and posted near the end of the month.
I'm mining more of my really, really old stuff (from 2nd and 3rd edition days) for more ideas to update to 5e. My "to do / ideas" list is still really, really long, but there's no reason not to keep adding to it.
I am getting more into the use of the desktop publishing software I bought for creating the book (thanks again, all you patrons!), and am experimenting with making future PDF files for monsters, NPCs, or other longer content that are more polished and pretty-fied. The first example of this is Melisha, the Eraser, an NPC I posted earlier this week. I'll play around with other decorative bits as time passes.
Feedback on things I make are always appreciated. Don't forget that you can always join the Discord server if you ever want to communicate outside of Patreon, even if it's just to say hello, chat with other patrons, get updates on the book, or ask what the weather's like in Wisconsin at the moment. If you are a patron and the bot doesn't automatically give you a role, you can DM me there with your name (on Patreon) and I'll get that added for you.
On the Patreon side of things, I've added benefits to a couple of the higher patronage tiers here (giving personal feedback on patrons' homebrews and scheduling 1 on 1 chat/homebrewing/worldbuilding sessions). I wanted to add more value for those that pledge a bit more.
As always, I will continue to post a variety of content 2 to 3 times per week.
Here's to wishing everyone a pleasant and adventure-filled 2023.
