Ranger Archetype: Purifier
Added 2022-09-30 21:11:53 +0000 UTCThis creation was inspired in part by a post on reddit that was looking for cleric domains focused on exorcism and prophesy. While many cleric spells already handle those things, I was struck with the idea of making a ranger that does work with exorcisms and fighting against otherworldly influences.
The other part of this inspiration is the character of John Constantine. The use of special objects and materials, spells based not on faith but on knowledge of otherworldly things, and tenacity in fighting such foes are part of this subclass.
I went with fighting more than demonic possession with this idea, extending it to otherworldly beings that come into the world to mess things up (anything covered by detect evil and good).
