Monster: Matlatsisa
Added 2022-03-20 03:21:34 +0000 UTCA predatory monstrosity that blends with its surroundings and can quickly adapt to its environment...and it hunts in telepathically-bonded packs.
Sure sounds fun to me as a DM. :)
I often name things based on words in other languages that have to do with what I'm naming. In this case, I used a combination of words that roughly mean "strength duplicate", due to its Pack Adaptation feature.
The visual appearance of these things is partially inspired by a creature in Chronicles of Riddick., while their ability to adapt as a group is a lot like the Borg of the Star Trek.
