What has that dragon been up to recently?

For no other reason than I felt like connecting a bit and keeping everyone updated...here's what's happening with your local D&D guy that uses the name of a purple dragon.
Coming Up Next Month:
In the past couple of years, I've sometimes done entire months of daily homebrews related to a set theme. I did the first one strictly as a self-challenge, and ended up having a lot of fun with it, so I did it again...and then a couple more times after that. I even came up with fun names related to the months and themes (a patron came up with the one for Sept. 2020!).
Which brings me to this year. I came up with the name for a month, and I'm afraid it is going to inspire a lot of outright cheesy D&D content. And buttery content, and milky content, and definitely cow-related content. Yes, folks. Next month will be...Febru-dairy.
Don't worry. There will still be plenty of homebrews that aren't related to the theme, which means some days I will post more than one creation. It's going to be a busy moooonth (I am so sorry, it just came out).
Neverending Homebrews:
Speaking of plenty of homebrews... I decided to take a count of the things that are currently on my constantly-growing ideas/to-do list. At the moment, it includes:
- 30 subclasses
- 66 spells
- 3 metamagic options
- 28 monsters
- 7 monster templates
- 16 named NPCs
- 6 feats
- 8 points of interest
- 5 backgrounds
- 1 pact boon with 2 invocations
- 250 magic items (a few I have illustrations for already)
- 2 sets of battle maps
- 2 herbalism items
- 39 nonmagical items
- 5 armor/weapon properties
- 18 materials
- 50ish vtt spell templates/tokens
It probably doesn't help that I can be inspired to make homebrew from practically anything, so the list tends to grow a little faster than it gets used.
Video Making:
I will soon be starting back up with my Homebrew Highlights videos. The next video will highlight homebrews related to familiars.
The video-making took a hiatus when I went to Arizona for Xmas, then my mind just wasn't ready to do the work for a new video before my own family and I had our private Xmas (which was pushed back to New Year's Day). I was just getting ready to record when my 7 year old laptop decided it was time to be done with its moving parts (the fan was noisily dying and the hard drive was slowing way down and about to fail). However, I just installed new a replacement fan and a brand new SSD a couple of days ago, so I can work on stuff a bit faster than before.
Chatting with Patrons and Visitors:
For those interested, my Discord server has voice channels for patrons (Patron Voices) and for everyone (General Chat) that might want to drop in, say hi, and/or talk D&D/homebrewing/anything else.
Sometimes when I'm just working on stuff, I will go into chat and get a bot (Hydra) to play random types of music.
I'm thinking that one of these days I'll have to host a voice meet-up where I a) improvise/create homebrews live for people and b) help others with their ideas. I did that once in person at a gaming convention, and it was a lot of fun.
Well, that's all I can think of for the moment. Thanks for supporting my creative outlet and the creation of all of this D&D content for everyone.
