Soulmate Stones

Such was the case during my Sunday game last night, when the group decided they would tangle with a dragon ASAP (which they had barely escaped from previously and it turns out had burned down half a village). The dragon lives in disorienting swamp that is constantly filled with dense fog.
The shopkeeper they were talking with, when he realized they were serious about killing the dragon, offered to help with something useful he had on a shelf in the back.
*Cue the DM making up a brand new magic item...as he's describing it.*
The result is this pair of linked magical stones. Useful for when the players split the party, or when they leave one stone with their horses in the village so they can find their way back out of the Swamp of Mists.
