The First Optical Mouse - Mouse Systems PC Mouse

This video is one I've been planning in the back of my head for a while now and I needed something to buy me a little more time with my ongoing GBA project. After some more success in researching it I was finally ready to tackle my Mouse Systems PC Mouse with an IBM XT PC! I've been holding off on attempting to use a mouse at all with one of my 8088 systems until I could get one that was just right for it, and I don't think this could fit the bill any better! Not to spoil it, but this mouse was absolutely wonderful to use so this kind ended up being half of me just being giddy over using a mouse on an XT for the first time.
Still, this is a very interesting mouse and I'm glad to finally be able to cover it!

PS: As a teaser on the delay for the GBA video, I'm currently waiting on feedback of production of something new. A lot of time has gone into this one and it's going to be a bit different, but I'm really excited to show it all when it finally comes together!

I had a Sun 3/60 with a similar mouse. It came with two mouse pads, one with a smaller grid. You could use it if you wanted more mouse 'sensitivity' :-)
