Larger disc????

After doing some testing in VR with the laserdroid avatar I made the decision to increase the size of the disc to make it closer to its real life equivalent.
Heres the old size for comparison:
The new disc is actually almost exactly 1 foot in blender units now (which is funny because i just guessed to be honest)
Of course, this presents a new problem due to the current front section of the Phonodroid and Laserdroid being designed for the old record sizes, and lets be honest even those barely fit.
This, plus wanting to be able to show off the inside modeling a little better when the tray is opened, led me to rethink how the door works.
I am still in the process of updating the modeling to match, but above shows how i want the new separation to work. I am also adding some new bones to the armature for the door and record mechanism to allow them to move up and down so they can open without clipping through stuff like the legs. Ill have to redo the animations for them but it should be simple enough and should look considerably better. It also further differentiates the Laserdroid design from the Phonodroids which I think is for the better.
Anyways, I'll get back to work now but I thought it would be fun to share this little bit of change I'm making. My goal is to get the remodeling of this area 100% complete today so it shouldnt add too much further delay to the patreon release.

new front panel and animation done!!!!
The avatar is extremely close to completion, and I have decided because of the long wait that I will release the avatar for patrons before doing the trailer for twitter. All that is left is sound and updated documentation for them!
I will aim for a release this weekend.
