Laserdroid Update WIP
Added 2022-01-10 23:28:06 +0000 UTCHello! It's taken a little bit and I've had to redo some work i lost from file transferring gone wrong, but the updated model for the Laserdroid is finally ready to show!
The whole design has been adjusted for the 21st century, the new Laserdroids are rounder, shinier, and built with the latest in electrical engineering.
(Remember to let your Phonodroid friends know to get the latest software patch in preparation for Y2K!)
Theres a lot of minor changes, but some specific notable ones are:
- Completely new tail design, and a new plug shape!
- Redone hands and fingers, they now sport textured pads and stubby claws (they are made of soft conductive material to allow interaction with capacitive touch surfaces.)
- Redesigned connection between the waist and chest plates, as well as split shoulder plates.
- New number panel design that fits on the exterior of the tray lid.
The TV on the chest plate can display 4 different images (replacing the icon feature of the original Phonodroid avatar) Out of the box I want to make it play simple animation displaying them in a sequence. You may have recognized the little Phonodroid on the TV from an earlier twitter post.
I'm still working on rigging everything up to the armature properly, and then It will be time to move it into unity to do the last few pieces!
