Back to work on Phonoworld! + WIP

Hello! A lot has happened the last few days, would you believe. The biggest and most important thing of all that though, as mentioned on @smorbaa a few days ago, I got a new laptop for mobile work! After a lot of research I settled on one of the 2020 Macbook Pros in what was probably the most conflicted purchasing decision of my life, but the good news is despite my fears its worked out very nicely for my needs. Shown above is my first model done exclusively on the new laptop! If all goes well it will take its place inside the phonoworld as decoration.

All that aside, the Phonodroid avatar i think is in a place where i’m happy with it for the time being with all the glaring issues ironed out, so my focus is now finally able to shift over to the world they will reside in. I know it’s a lot later than my initial planning was for it;; I didn’t consider just how crazy life would be for me as time went on.

So where is the world now? Well, to be honest its not far ahead of when i last showed it, due to most of my time being spent focused on the avatars as well as trouble coming up with ideas for it. Right now i‘m just modeling out things to stick in it to give it life. There is another roadblock too with texturing, because my original plan was to draw a lot of the textures by hand but that can only go so far when dealing with a hand injury. I think my goal will be to finish the current commission im working on then take a break from those for a while so i can focus on doing those textures. And my main goal with doing the commissions was to help save up for the laptop, and thats done now! So yay.

I’ll try to keep this space more updated with WIP content now that things are getting more interesting again, so check here every once in a while!
