March update!! Focusing + Prints

Hey!! First of all I just want to say thank you to everyone! A LOT happened this month and it has been wild, but I'm figuring things out and overall it's been really good!

I've had a lot more time to think about what direction I want to take my work, and I think I have settled now on a specific style I want to do, very much inspired by children's storybook art and such! I've experimented leaning into it more heavily with it my last few drawings and its extremely fun to do. Because of this, I think I am going to adjust my Patreon goals over the course of this next month to reflect this new focus for my work! I have an announcement to make at the end of this update, but first..

This was my first month ever trying commissions, and they ended up being a really good experience for me! I think there are some adjustments to be made there too, I'll keep y'all updated on that stuff if I do decide to finalize any changes with them!

I have been looking into prints more, and I think I have settled on 2 options now! For large prints and posters for now I am going to use Redbubble. I ordered a test poster from them last week and I was very pleased with the results, so expect to see that go public very soon! The other option is that I have access now to a professional printer! It can't do extremely large prints (hence why I have decided to use Redbubble alongside it), but I was thinking maybe a Patreon tier for monthly prints would be perfect for it! Let me know what y'all think of that!

And now for the big announcement: I want to expand my work beyond just single art pieces, and try creating short illustrated stories! I have always loved making up ideas for places and characters in my head, but I have never really put the effort previously into putting those ideas down on paper. I want to change that, and I am going to start putting time into writing as well as drawing! It might be a while before I produce anything I feel is readable of course, so this is more of a long term thing. I've set a goal to make and release my first complete illustrated short by the end of this year and if I can meet that then that would be awesome! I really look forward to being able to share what I make with you all.

That's all for this update, thank you all so much again and have a great month!
