Here is the final version of the video that I just released. Thanks for the feedback on the last one! I added a couple of things to this one from that.

I normally do that when working on stuff but when behind the camera it can be easy to forget things like that. I'll try to remember that for next time.

2021-05-16 23:57:56 +0000 UTCI typically try to use Linux for stuff when I can, from what I've read I should give ddrescue a try for it on there. I don't usually need to recover data from failing HDDs though. This system was just important since it had all the original software so intact.

2021-05-16 22:22:06 +0000 UTCFor hard drive recovery you could try spinrite by grc. Its a bit expensive but it's a a one time cost. If you're in the hobby of old computers it might be worth it. I've saved a lot of data from dying hard drives over the years using it.
