Full Noctua Fans & New Motherboard - Server Re-Build

This was another one of those projects that didn't really go as I planned. I was sent a replacement motherboard for my server and took the opportunity I would have to easily get to everything in the case to replace the fans that are failing. I tried to make it completely silent with all noctua fans, which were extremely quiet at reasonable speeds, but the now fully working motherboard gave me a challenge I could not overcome in getting the fans to do what I want.

There is a minor issue in one section where the audio is doubled, my editing software really screwed with me there because the waveforms were perfectly aligned in the editor, but it processed them differently in the render. It would take about 8hrs of rendering and uploading again to fix it, so I'm just going to leave it because it's really short and understandable in context of the video.

Even with the slightly disappointing fan outcome they’re still a HUGE noise improvement over stock- well done! Random thought... maybe until you can figure out the “elegant” solution (correct fan controller command via Linux) an “old school” solution could do the trick... run the needed HDD fans off of an old external fan controller. That way the rest of the chassis fans can run silently at 30%.
