Project Updates while doing some Server Maintenance
Added 2021-03-31 18:01:44 +0000 UTCI wanted to just record something quick to give some updates on where some of my current projects are at. I've got a few things in progress but little things keep popping up and slowing me down. I should be able to get something out soon, I may just have o cut back my plans a bit on making a bigger video next so I can get something finished.
UPDATE:
The server drives are sorted out now. The TL:DR version is to wipe the superblock of drives in an mdadm array. And the 4 drives I couldn't get working were connected to a SAS card not the motherboard. I still needed to configure them as a JBOD but not where I thought. That's all done now and the arrays are doing their initial sync. This is the actual final step for my new data storage workflow and I'm more excited about it than I realized. Every single thing I keep in digital storage(except long term video storage because it's huge) is about to have true redundant backups. And now that I have everything else sorted out I can finally start planning my redundant tape backup plans for the videos.
