Current Project Update

I built a new editing system that I wasn't really planning on and I'm working on a video about it, or at least I'm trying. I have been having a constant issue with my editing software on this system for some reason. It just keeps hard freezing and not coming back. I haven't been able to get it reliable for editing a video yet. There are a lot of variables for the diagnosis that I'm working through and so far nothing has given me any strong leads on why it keeps happening.
I had to migrate parts from my previous system to this one to build it. I could move those parts back, get a different video done, and then get back to this one. But I think that's a bad move and I would just be delaying the problem. I'm going to continue throwing hours and unfortunately days at this problem until I can get it figured out. It's proving to be a worthy opponent however.
On a brighter side I'll give you the more significant specs:

32GB DDR4 @ 3.2GHz
MSI Z390 Motherboard (EDGE Gaming AC model)
1TB NVMe Samsung 970
Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case
GTX 1080 ti (moved from the old system)
This is my first system build in 7 years so there were some changes for newer things I've never worked with like an NVMe drive so it's been kinda fun.

I have it completely disabled. I'm not really interested in OC'ing it. I'm very happy with the stock performance. That's a good suspect though. I've seen some instances of other people with similar systems having problems with that.

2020-11-16 22:59:28 +0000 UTCThe first suspect I'd have is auto bios overclocking. Many are set to go beyond Intel spec. I'd have a look at those settings and make sure it's not set to do too much.
