New Website!

I've finally gotten around to making a proper website and have put some stuff up on it already. One of the things I'm looking forward to is being able to create addendums for my videos as a text post after they are released. I put one together for the SK-88 video here: https://techtangents.net/2020/09/28/roland-sk-88-pro-repair/
I'm usually shoehorning technical material into the videos to make sure the information is out there. But video isn't always the best format for that so I'm going to be shifting some things to text posts which I think will let the videos flow better and the information will be better presented as well. I'm going to try to remember to not constantly push the website in the videos because I don't want that to become annoying. But I'll probably throw a mention out at the end of the videos when there was something useful put in the accompanying post.
I'd welcome feedback, comments, criticisms, etc on it. I've been tweaking it a bunch and still don't think it's done. It is Wordpress based(and I am aware of the security implications of that) so I'm not able to easily change everything, but I'll do what I can.

Hah, there's not much on there yet. But I do a number of things that I could put to paper that would be really nice to get out there and be able to refer to. So I'm really glad to finally have somewhere that I can use as an outlet for this.

2020-10-01 10:53:56 +0000 UTCI like it! I did read two blog entries to see how readable it is to me and it worked just fine. I think I'd only prefer the background pattern to be a bit darker, but that's just my own taste.

I don't know what I'll do with it now since it pre-dates the rename of the channel. But the main content I produce will go on the new one because I don't want to continue to associate the AkBKukU name with the channel.

2020-09-28 19:36:04 +0000 UTCI haven't been able to find where I can change those icons yet. The other ones were set automatically by their names. That's the downside of "One size fits most" things like Wordpress. I will be looking into that more because it bothers me that it's like that.

I like the fact that with the capacitor replacement section, you have the digikey/mouser carts directly too only feedback I have off the top of my head is the discord/patron links are generic link icons. would be nice to have them show as the actual service icon if possible
