A little delay for some big excitement

So.. this last week I've been working on setting up a new filming area to record at and that's been going pretty well. My plan was to record a simpler video towards the end of the week for a Friday release.

Well also for this last week, I've been in contact with someone local about a Data General Nova 4, microNova, with a Dasher D2 terminal and I just closed the deal on buying them! This Thursday I'll be going to pick them up! I have to work on clearing a space where I can put them and work on them now so I have to do some more organizing again. So I don't know if I'll have a video done by Friday. But I'm beyond excited for the upcoming projects base around this system!

This was single handedly the biggest vintage computer purchase I've ever made and it seriously would not have been possible with out everyone's support here. So, thank you!

The seller isn't the owner, I'm going to meet the owner when I pick it up. I'm going to ask them about the history of it. If they seem cool with it, then I might ask if they will talk about it on camera. But that's not very likely. This whole process hasn't been great, I'm really looking forward to getting it and being done.

Love the aesthetic! Any background from the seller? It'd be fantastic to know what they were doing when new.

Project A118

I'm ridiculously excited, I haven't slept the last week waiting for the auction to end! I'm going to try to make that the one I go to next year! It looked like a lot of fun!

If you're that excited over a Data General, you definitely need to visit vintage computer festival Midwest next year :-)
