Coleco Adam PSU Project Update
Added 2019-11-10 02:16:22 +0000 UTCI've finally got everything in today for getting to the next major milestone on the Coleco Adam PSU I've been working on. And it is now a real functioning thing!
There are a few minor issues that I need to sort out but there isn't a ton left to do now before I can wrap this up as phase one and get a video made about it.
This is a much more complicated project than the ATX2PCjr so I'm a bit more proud of this one. I'm also really looking forward to getting a better PSU option for the Adam out there for people.
That's all, I'm just excited by the progress!

That's not a bad call, These prototype boards I always planned on initially testing with my bench supply so I could current limit so I hadn't considered that. I'm still not really sure how much power this needs with the inevitable efficiency losses though. I'll add one to the next revision after I get an idea of what a good limit would be. I could probably do the max according to the Adam's technical reference manual + 20% and be safe though.

I've learned a lot from this whole project and really look forward to applying these skills to new things in the future! There will be a video, but it will be more about the design of the board. I'm sprinkling some Adam history in there but it isn't the main focus.
