2019 Feburary Supporter Updates

Mat test footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XoyG6w6FJo

I forgot to come back to the MT-32 after I mentioned it. It's buttons are broken and need to be replaced. So before I do that I have to buy "one more thing" and get buttons.

2019 Feburary Supporter Updates

Comments

If I switch to opening them as I get them I would probably leave the mail videos for a time when I could use some more time to work on the next video. So I wouldn't make it a rigid rule of when I put them out. I think I'm finally happy with the whole setup. There are areas I'll improve down the road, but it's finally hit a point where my hardware isn't holding me back in any way. The 98 LAN party stuff isn't ever really "planned" so I can't say it will ever happen again. But I would be chocked if there wasn't more of those. I just don't think that playing games on stream once a month is the best use of my time. That repair video went a lot better than I thought it would. That is a fun type of video to make as well. Maybe I could do a supporter video that shows the process of making these types of thumbnails. (The MT-200 video was the same). It's not a very difficult process.

Tech Tangents

How about doing a mail video after receiving 5 or 10 items? I don't think that you'll need to hold on to the package itself until this time arrives. I know that there are people enjoying unboxing videos, but I think that's limited to new products. I'm glad to see that you've figured out your recording / editing setup, also thanks for explaining that, it's interesting. I got the frequency response of my hi-fi setup equalized down to ± 2dB, and the new mic sounds really great, almost perfect. Although you changed the first goal on Patreon, which makes sense, I still hope I'll occasionally see an Windows 98 LAN party video, I really enjoyed those. I also really enjoyed the "Cassette Changer Repair", interesting piece of "Oddware", the troubleshooting process was also interesting. I'd personally like to know how you created the thumbnail for that video.
