Eggbusters bloopers for Majora's Mask part 2

I can't remember what is in this video, sorry.

Eggbusters bloopers for Majora's Mask part 2

Comments

I don't think you didn't get anywhere, you've got 35,000 subscribers which is still a huge amount. And I know just how much work you put in, even just on the music alone, which I why I say you deserve to be much higher regarded in terms of YouTube. The zelda videos, as you say in your directors commentary have had massive amounts of views, and I guess that's why you've got so many twilight princess episodes of eggbusters, to try to replicate that success. I don't think the success of the channel is based upon the quality or the amount of work (unfortunately). I've seen channels with far more views and subs which are nothing compared to yours. I think it is simply about how it is distributed and how it is shared. Some of the youtubers I watch are all part of a group of youtubers, which by grouping together enable them to support each other by sharing their fans. Groups like normal boots and hidden block. Is there anything like that you can join? You were obviously working with Go Nintendo but even going on their site, it's not instantly giving you benefit. It was something but I think it probably benefited them more than you. Eggbusters is the best ip on YouTube in my opinion, just beating things like Game Theory, which, like eggbusters, have strong defining characteristics and are genuinely catchy and addictive. The first night I found eggbusters, I watched about 14 episodes in a row, until about 4am. I thought I'd stumbled across some super popular YouTube show, and had no idea you were relatively unknown. It was addictive. If I can't sleep, I watch eggbusters, even though I've seen most of them 5 times. I know you aren't the kind of person who wants to promote yourself, or ask us outright to promote you, but I think there is a strong base of people, especially on Patreon, of people that would do that work for you. An eggbusters Facebook page (I don't really understand twitter) to constantly share your new videos, enabling that to be shared with thousands of people instantly, and if your 123 patrons shared it with their average 100 friends, that's a reach of over 10,000 people, with the potential for them to share it further and that's just from patreon alone. I'm sure the majority of us would happily push your work, and if you were to direct that effort in a particular way, it would have an exponential force. Even without us doing it, every other YouTube channel really pushes the subscribe (putting buttons in videos) and the liking, however I never have really felt like it's something you like to do. I can understand why you don't, because it cheapens and lowers the tone, but at the same time it is probably a big factor in channel growth. It's also getting your videos into the gaming journalism sites. I've seen you multiple times on ZeldaInformer and that's probably why you get such hits on the zelda videos. Getting on to other sites (I don't know how but I'm sure contacting their writers could be a start) that have broader fan bases, like gamenesia, rather than just zelda fans, may help too. Talking of gamenesia, they ran a story about changes to Nintendo on YouTube 3 years ago. You aren't mentioned in the article but take a look at the first comment with 34 up votes at the bottom of the page... https://www.gamnesia.com/news/nintendo-to-create-a-youtube-affiliate-program Even though I'm a depressive person, when it comes to hope I get carried away and I always believe that things are achievable if the right strategy is used, maybe I'm being naively positive, but I know the impact your work has had on me. One of your endings with the black screen with white text said something about it may not seem like it now but it being ok, that was at one of my most miserable moments and it meant so much to me. As I'm sure it did to others. I know very little about YouTube or how it works, but I really believe in you and in eggbusters (and I know you don't really want to hear that but it truly is good enough to project you to the million subscriber level - just as you are good enough for that). But at the same time if you really don't want to do it, then let's find something else to be the face of your channel. I'm sure here on patreon we can come up with something.

Appreciate everything you've said. Only thing of note I have to say is just that I did Eggbusters as good as I could for 3 years and it didn't really get me anywhere. That's too much work to do to not get anywhere, no matter how much I enjoyed it. So it didn't make sense to keep doing that and not go anywhere.

Hey Austin, commenting here because I can't on YouTube. In response to the question you asked, my favourite videos since the last of "that which must not be named" have been: All the first impression interview series, you hit the perfect comedy tone with your acting. It's subtle but it has genuinely made me laugh out loud. Especially on the battlefield episode. Also liked the mystery box idea though that might prove expensive, enjoyed that episode though. Also really like the skyrim episode. You could do a series on "things about XXXX that I think could be better". I've always liked your critique, ever since the cross examination vids. I like your blogs, it's nice to see you talk to the camera about what's going on as yourself. Finally... I'm sorry but I loved the directors commentary of that show you used to be on, or something? Just saying! Dunno if that helps though, none of them is anywhere near as strong a concept as eggbusters, which just hit all the right notes and should have been enough to put you up there with youtubers like PBG. At the end of the day your music and your personality are your two strongest features. Eggbusters channeled both of those into a programme which had universal appeal to gamers. I could watch glitches anywhere, I wanted to see you do it with your music in your style. And the name is catchy. So is the music. It's funny how much i struggle watching the good boy show, it ruins the programme and all you did was change the name and music. Playing devil's advocate, you have to decide your reasons for doing YouTube, if they are financial, then my advice would be to treat it like a job, you don't often enjoy it, but you make a living and enjoy your free time. Relaunch eggbusters, make it as universally appealing as you can, see if you can get backers and sponsors and promote it, get your army of Patreon and subscribers to share and push the show, and people will watch. I guarantee that. You may not enjoy it, but the money will come. If you reasons for doing YouTube are for an artistic and creative outlet, and you're not fussed about finance or whether people watch, then continue doing what you're doing because the new stuff is great, it's just not going to be the face of the channel. Keep mixing ideas and trying new stuff and you will invent the new face, because you're creative and another diamond like eggbusters is well within your ability. I take the time to watch everything you put up and I've watched everything on your channel and on here, I've enjoyed it all, you should be more regarded amongst the YouTube community. Hope this helps in any way, I know whatever you decide to do it'll be great and I'll enjoy it. Also anything with zelda and I'm there! Thanks mate.
