Nah technically speaking Whitebeard's devil fruit is better in pure destruction than the Dark Dark Fruit. The only advantage Blackbeard had in THIS fight was to be able to cancel devil fruit powers and make people sink in the Darkness (which is very slow). The earthquake power is much more intense and destructive when it comes to pure destruction in itself.

Roger's name is a common spoiler but I barely remember you mentioned knowing it way back before it was first revealed officially (just reminding it was revealed by Dr. Kureha in episode 91 and discovered by Robin in episode 194, this episode is not its reveal) But hey, the biggest spoiler is Ace's death, that's a great one to dodge. I think even I knew that before I began One Piece, many casual people do. So I love when reactors avoid it, some didn't because it's what trolls use the most!
