Tanya entered the room, trying to conceal a sigh. She knew what he was about to ask. But she didn’t know if she could say no, since she was just an adjunct professor. She checked her white shirt, proper skirt, and brushed her blond hair back in a distracted gesture.
“You called for me, sir?”
“Yes. You know our college is… dependent on the sports program.”
“Sir, if this is about the students I flunked… I’m sorry, but they’re not anywhere near a passing grade.”
“I understand!” he said. Moments later, he gestured for her to sit down.
Tanya sat down, frowning. She’d hoped that this would be it, but he was going to try to force her into giving them a passing grade.
And she wouldn’t. She might just be an adjunct professor with no tenure, she might be young for her position, but she wouldn’t just give in to the demand to give a collect student a grade they hadn’t earned.
“Now, Ms. Hanks.”
Doctor, please, but she didn’t say it because this was the guy who signed her paycheck.
“Yes?”
“I understand that you have concerns, and I agree. We can’t let our students graduate unprepared. Despite the importance of the sports program, the ability of our graduates to handle the world as it is—one where only a few of them will continue on as athletes.”
“So, I ah…”
“While it is not within your official job description, I’d ask that you work as their tutor. A personal touch might help with the changes that they—and you, will be going through.”
“Me?”
“You’re new to this school. We’ve had a bit of a turnover in new teachers, and I hope that you will find your place here.”
“My place?”
“Yes, I know that while in some cases, it’s considered important to be well, standoffish, we think that our professors, especially newer ones, should be deeply involved in the life of the school. Should be part of our college experience, not simply leaving every night for their home.”
He bent down and brought a glowing crystal lamp onto the desk. The light was… strange. Orangish, but it seemed to be pulsing.
“What’s that?”
“Just a little souvenir.” He smiled. “I find it makes things easier when I’m talking to people. Makes things less nerve-wracking.”
“Nerve-wracking?” Tanya shook her head. “It’s not nerve-wracking, but I don’t know if I have the time. I mean, if they were serious about their work, they would have passed the class in the first place.”
“Oh? So they have the capability?”
“I…” Tanya stared at the gleaming light. It was so…
Warm. Pretty. Compelling.
“Tanya?”
She started at the words. “Oh, yes! They have the capability.”
“Then perhaps you should consider how you can… be different. Change for them when you’re working with them directly.”
“Change?” Tanya couldn’t pull her eyes away from the lamp. It was so… compelling, the warm orange light just seeming to pull her eyes in, to warm her entire body. It felt…
Funny.
And neat.
Like it was hugging her.
“Tanya?” he repeated, and she started, trying to tear her eyes away from that wonderful glowing light.
“I’m sorry, sir,” she said.
Right. He was a sir. He was her boss. She should be polite to the man who was her boss.
She bit her lip. The man who was her boss…
The thought of the way he was just sitting behind the desk, staring at her…
Tanya pressed her legs together. There was something about him that she hadn’t noticed. The way the light just seemed to cast itself over his body.
Don’t be stupid! He’s twenty years older than you are! On the other hand, she had those romance novels with the older guy…
Tanya shivered.
Some big man pressing her down onto the bed, his cock pressing at her wet slit, demanding entrance as she whined and moaned….
She shivered again. “But sir,” Tany said, her voice diffident. “What would you suggest?”
“I would think you should try to work with them in a way they’d like. Men have certain needs, after all. Especially athletic, strong men. Urges that you might help with.”
“Yes…” She took a deep breath. She was getting hotter. And hadn’t some of the guys looked at her in a way she’d found too familiar?”
But… really, were they? Or were they just…
Expressing their need.
The heat between her legs was becoming distracting. She needed…
Tanya bit her lip. She’d do something about it later… in her office, with the door closed.
“I… Yes, I could do that.”
“Good,” the man, the big, burly man, said as he smiled at her. “And you might find certain changes occurring. After all, when we accept our… new duties, sometimes our bodies respond in ways we’d never dream of.”
“Yes…” Tanya nodded, then jumped up. “I—right, sir, I’ll have to work on the tutoring plan.”
“Don’t forget, you need a way to encourage them.”
Right, encourage all those big, strong men… She bowed once and headed for the door, not wondering why she’d never bowed like that before.
She had some work to do!
As she left the outer office, Tanya frowned, looking at herself in the mirror. She’d always thought her dress flattered her, but now… now it looked a little… Dowdy.
She undid the first two buttons, looking around and giggling at the thrill of doing something so daring. Then she ran a hand through her golden locks.
Tanya stared.
Is my hair more shiny than it was? That was ridiculous. Hair didn’t change like that.
But… On the other hand, it did look a little more vibrant.
“Maybe I’m just imagining things,” Tanya said to herself. Or maybe I'm looking at myself a little differently. After all, those guys seemed to like my hair and my… She cupped her modest boobs and gave them a little heft, her body shivering in reaction.
Then Tanya shook her head and giggled. She needed to get to her office. Because she’d have a special study plan…
