The Pendants: Fittings

“What’s the dress code change?” Patricia asked.

“Well, it’s like this, the bosses, have a little jewelry company and they want to do some, um, you know, like product placement.” She flicked the emerald, then ran her finger along the metallic collar.

For the first time, Patricia noticed that the collar looked like it was locked from the behind, instead of the front, even if the material it was made of looked flexible. The kind of stuff that people dropped thousands of dollars on just so they could look cool.

The kind of thing Patricia would never be able to afford in her life.

“It’s… striking.” It really was. There was a say the emerald seemed to just drink in the light and send it back in showers of green just drew her eye, now that she was looking at it.

“Uh-huh!” And with that, Nanci, reached into her pocket and pulled out another one.

She can just have one lying around? Patricia shook her head, but this one seemed… different. Brighter.

More attractive.

More compelling…

Nanci just looked at her and then giggled. “I know, right? It’s totally hot. So was mine!”

“Yours?” Patricia frowned.

“Every woman deserves their own collar…” Nanci licked her lips, and Patricia found herself gazing at the woman’s cleavage.

God, I wonder what it’s like to have tits like that. Not just that, but her entire body was… plush. Not fat, not flabby, but the kind of plush that a guy would just love to plow.

I— Patricia shook her head. This was ridiculous. No matter what Nanci looked like or how she spelled her name, she was the one who would be able to greenlight the loan.

“So you’re not selling more than one?” Patricia asked.

“Silly, what woman needs more than one?” Nanci replied.

“So you’d want me to wear these…”

“And get the other professors to wear them.”

“What about the men?”

“Men don’t need to wear one, not when they have the girls around them wearing one.”

“Um… yeah.” What guy would want to wear it? Now that she noticed it, the pendants didn’t even look like they would look good on a guy. Too… feminine. They would look better on a woman.

“And the students.”

“I…” Patricia shrugged. “I’m sorry, but this is a college. We don’t have a dress code, so I can’t demand that our female students wear these, and where would we get them, in any case?”

“Oh, I have some coming in.” Nanci giggled. “They’re really coming fast.”

“I mean… I… Guess I could offer it.” Patricia finally said.

“That’d be great!” Nanci replied. “After they get a look at your collar, I bet everyone will love having their own… I know I did, back before I changed jobs.”

“Wait, you didn’t work for the loan company?”

“Oh, I did, but I like, found a better position…” Nanci licked her lips. “Under some really fucking hot bosses.”

Patricia shivered at the feeling of desire in Nanci’s voice. She had a feeling she knew exactly where she’d been working.

And how hard

“So, you gonna put it on?”

“I… Yes.” Patricia held out her hand, and Nanci handed her the collar. The metal was flexible but cool.

She’d never felt anything like it before. She ran her finger over the gem and hissed. It was like there was a shock of electricity there.

Almost like the gem was… alive. Patricia stared at it. “Is it a real emerald?”

“It’s something even more special,” Nanci said. “They got it from the earth, but made it better.”

Better? What is she… Patricia kept running her fingers over the gem. It was… electrifying. Incredible…

And then she opened the lock. There was no keyhole. All you had to do was press down on the tab and then it opened with a metallic click.

I wonder what kind of metal this is? Most flexible metal necklaces she’d seen were mesh or just a overlay of metal on a flexible necklace. But this felt like metal. Smooth. Without any gaps or breaks. But still flexible. Patricia licked her lips, wondering how it would feel. What would the staff think?

They’ll think wearing this was a cheap price if we get a loan out of it. With that, Patricia held the collar to her neck for a moment, reaching behind her and snapping it shut.

It was loose, and Patricia wondered if she’d done something wrong, and then it… tightened, around her neck. It wasn’t uncomfortable, the metal cool against her skin, she didn’t know how they’d made the metal do that.

Forget the gem, I bet the collar is the expensive part. A company that could do that, could make self-fitting jewelery would make a mint.

Maybe that was the point. If they could show it as a new fashion craze sweeping the college, even a small college, they could use that for advertising.

“Doesn’t it feel so great?” Nanci asked.

Patricia ran her finger along the curve of the metal. It was still cool, seeming to drink in the warmth of her skin. But that wasn’t uncomfortable.

Quite the contrary. It felt like…

Like it belonged…

“It really does,” Patricia said.
