The thing is we don't know if Enel used to have wings, we've never seen a back story. He could have had but lost them or ripped them off to later replace them with the drum thingie but that's a mystery many of us want to know!

2021-01-26 20:35:23 +0000 UTCSo the story implies that the moon people split after coming to our planet. Enel’s home was indeed named after Birka. For some reason some of them moved to Jaya and ended up protecting a poneglyph, just like Vivi’s ancestors with theirs. The only mystery is how an inventor made robots that looked just like the ancient moon robots. My theory is that the inventor has a connection with the moon.
