According to the creator, that time Endeavor hit her was neither a pattern nor intentional, but many fans don't know this and hate Endeavor more. She snapped and poured boiling water on Shoto but immediately regretted it and used her Ice Quirk on him to cool it. His scar is actually from the ice burn. I don't want to over-raise expectations but most people agree that MHA gets even better from now on.
