Here’s a bit of info about the next animation. Evelyn & Apollo will feature the titular pair having a bit of fun in Charlotte’s bedroom (while Charlotte isn’t home of course). This very short animation is planned to be more simple than previous animations, with fewer moving parts and scenes. I do want to include voice acting and sound design in this animation as well, but I‘ll need to find a new voice actress first. Maybe this time we can get some custom voice acting rather than premade sound packs? Planning the animation and creating the assets took about a full day (I’m still a little slow in that regard). I’m hoping the more focused, shorter scene will allow me to complete this animation in 2, 3 days tops.

Like with previous animations, Evelyn & Apollo is a test and a learning experience that will go towards both game design efforts as well as animated storytelling efforts. I’m much more confident in Spine now, and I’m ready to jump back into the Everyone’s Girlfriend Evelyn project… perhaps starting with an Evelyn dress up game??? 👀 I’m hoping the scope is narrow enough to complete in a reasonable time while still providing lots of learning opportunities.
