D&D 2 : The First Encounter, Cont'd (Images & Story)

Disclaimer : There is official Dungeons & Dragons artwork in this post, as well as artwork of my own. Every piece I did not produce was created by the amazing artists at Wizards of the Coast.

This is a record of an actual session of our X-rated D&D campaign. Except for certain scenes, I will be paraphrasing and summarizing our journey here in these entries. During certain key scenes however, I will be using actual quoted dialogue from our game.

Good Girls Presents... Dungeons & Dragons! : Tomb of Annihilation
Part 2 : The First Encounter, Continued

THE UNDEAD ATTACK

Alyxia, Thimble, Coral and Wrath gathered outside the city walls and filled each other in on everything that had transpired up to that point - including that Coral and Wrath had met the jungle guide Azaka and that she is willing to work for them. Suddenly, the sounds of alarms fill the air, and the gates close behind the party. Locals clamber through the streets, hurriedly retreating into their houses and huts, boarding up their doorways and windows. A cadre of undead warriors (skeletons wielding rusty blades, suited in scraps of armor), led by an unnerving ghoulish figure were attacking the people of the slums!

Swift to assemble, the girls collected themselves and set to work vanquishing the undead threat. Without hesitation, Wrath rushed forward to meet the enemy. Alyxia wasted no time speaking a prayer to Oghma, snapping her fingers and blowing them a kiss carrying his blessing. "You half breeds better fight at full force," she winked at her allies.

During the battle, Coral let crossbow bolts fly, striking down their undead adversaries from a distance, while Alyxia cast her divine magic to keep her team fighting fit. Thimble as well proved her value, strumming at her lute and letting a magical song fill the air, and slinging insults at her enemies.

Azaka Stormfang (rainwater version)

Undaunted by their foes, Wrath charged and engaged the enemy in melee combat, striking down multiple skeletons as she advanced. From where she was standing on the battlefield, she could see Azaka fighting with a supernatural strength, holding back three skeletons at once with her scimitar, as well as their ghoulish leader. Where the creatures would strike at her with their blades, her wounds seem to heal instantly.

Despite their fighting prowess, one skeleton managed to break through the back ranks, putting Coral and Thimble in danger. From out of nowhere, a thunderous raucous burst forth from Coral, destroying the skeleton, and wounding a surprised Thimble. When another skeleton turned a corner down a nearby alley, drawing nearer to Alyxia, once again Coral felt something welling up inside of her, and from a nearby puddle, a large tentacle emerged, thrashing and crushing the approaching skeleton.

On the frontlines of the battle, the shear number of opponents began to overwhelm Wrath, who was urged by Azaka to retreat.

"Everyone! You have fought bravely! Now fall back!"

Azaka made an effot to draw the attention of their foes, but where Wrath turned and fled, her wounds mounting and dripping blood where she went, the ghoul hurriedly followed. Spotting the ghoul's pursuit, Wrath, on the brink of consciousness, made a snap judgment, held a javelin in her hand, and with all her might and conviction, let it fly toward the creature, striking it down as it gave chase. When the ghoul's lifeless corpse crumpled to the ground, impaled by Wrath's javelin, the remaining skeletons retreated into the surrouding jungle. The undead attackers were defeated... for now.

Alyxia Mistcaller
"Where is that sweet green ass?"
Alyxia spots Wrath, badly wounded from the battle
"Where the fuck were you? Goddess what the hell?!"
Wrath, First of Her Name is going to just lay on the ground and take a nap.

Azaka Stormfang lifts Wrath up to her feet and gives her a firm slap on the ass
"Not here, warrior."
Azaka Stormfang points to the temple.

Wrath, First of Her Name gives one very shaky thumbs up.

Grateful to the party for defending Malar's Throats, the priests of Tymora's temple invite the girls to tend to their wounds within the temple walls. Shocked from her first battle, Thimble sneaks off for a brief cry before rejoining the party.

Azaka Stormfang
"You should all be proud. You have fought bravely. The Terror Folk will regret meeting you."
Azaka Stormfang addresses the entire group as she says so.
Alyxia Mistcaller
"Do you have a cock too?"
"You fight like you've got one. Just like Wrath."
Azaka Stormfang
"You are very forward, elf."
Thimble
"No, she's very upward!"
Azaka Stormfang grabs Alyxia's hand and pushes it against her own crotch.
"I am all woman."
Alyxia Mistcaller
"Nice"
Alyxia Mistcaller curls her fingers up
Azaka Stormfang pushes Alyxia's hand away as she feels her invasive, exploring touch.
"Not yet, elf."
Alyxia Mistcaller thinking to herself,
"i'm liking that 'yet' part"
Alyxia Mistcaller
"So how much are you charging?"
Alyxia Mistcaller crosses her arms in a confrontational stance.
Azaka Stormfang
"That depends. Will you aid me in a quest? Do this thing for me, and I will be at your service indefinitely. And I will waive your fees for any time we spend in the jungle until then."
"Otherwise... I charge 5 gold coins per day. Your safety guaranteed."
Alyxia Mistcaller thinks to herself
"shit 5 gold per day... 30 day upfront is typical... I will never financially recover from this...."
Azaka Stormfang
"What say you, elf?"
Alyxia Mistcaller
"What kind of quest?"
Azaka Stormfang
"Something was taken from me. The Terror Folk of Firefinger have taken a valuable treasure to their lair. I can not reach it alone."
"Upon my family's honour, I must retrieve this treasure."
Alyxia Mistcaller
"Gosh you all like to get into trouble"
Alyxia Mistcaller extends out her hand begrudgingly agreeing to help
Azaka Stormfang takes her arm in a mighty grip, muscles bulging, and pulls Alyxia close
"The jungle is a dangerous place. We must all learn to trust each other. We will be close. Like family."
Coral chimes in, trying to get Alyxia more enthusiastic.
"Think about it, we get to study the Pterafolk. For free!"
Alyxia Mistcaller has an expression of honest concession to Coral's valid point "Mile high club sounds fun," she thinks to herself
Thimble doesn't want to be outdone, and also speaks up.
"Oh! And don't forget about those, uh... frog guys? Azaka, do you know anything about them?"
Azaka Stormfang
"I can only assume you speak of the Grungs."
"I am familiar with their tribes. What do you wish to know?"
Coral
"If they're on the way to or from Firefinger, maybe we can visit!"
"We're supposed to go to a village called Dungrunglung!"
Azaka Stormfang considers Coral's point carefully
"Dungrunglung would take us maybe a two or three days out of our way if we plan our voyage carefully. such a trip could be made quite conveniently."
"As long as we plan to retrieve my treasure, I do not mind making such a trip."
Coral claps happily.
"Let's go there after then! I'm sure Miss Azaka won't mind the detour and won't charge us extra, right?" she says batting her eyelashes, not quite realizing what her body language is doing.
Alyxia Mistcaller
"That's nice of you, human."
Azaka Stormfang visibly bristles at being called a human but says nothing
"If I have your word that we will end up there after we visit the Grung village, I will gladly take you there first."
Alyxia Mistcaller
"Please. You know as well as I do we're at your mercy once we're out there"
Azaka Stormfang chuckles
Alyxia Mistcaller raises her brow defiantly
Azaka Stormfang
"You are not mistaken, elf."
Alyxia Mistcaller wears a smug smile
Thimble
"Please, don't encourage her..."
Azaka Stormfang assists Wrath in gathering the groups belongings, and makes preparations to head into the jungle.
Azaka Stormfang waits behind the rest of the party as they leave the Temple of Tymora and make for the dirt road that leaves to the River Tiryki
Azaka Stormfang walks slowly behind Thimble and purrs softly into her ear, with a deep, inexplicable rumble coming from some deep place in her throat
"You are weak, little one."
Azaka Stormfang sounds almost condescending at first
Thimble keeps walks the same as before, but casts her eyes downwards, confused. After the battle with the undead - Thimble's first battle - she had disappeared into a lonely corner of Tymora's temple to cry. But surely Coral was the only one who noticed.
Azaka Stormfang
"You are weak... and you must be protected."
Azaka Stormfang purrs this last sentence to her with a slight smile on her face.
Thimble bites her full lip, thinking about that for a moment, before whirling around to stare at Azaka.
"What. Did. You. Say?"
Azaka Stormfang walks ahead, swaying her hips in the jungle heat, to meet Wrath at the head of the party
Thimble breathes heavily, trying to calm the anger that welled up inside her. She ran away from home so that this kind of thing wouldn't happen...

Coral watches the exchange with concern,, knowing what it's like to be treated that way.

To be continued... next time - into the jungle!
