This Egyptian beauty has a reputation for being cold. To her classmates, she comes off as somewhat haughty and condescending. To her house servants, she looks like a spoiled brat. She dresses in only the most expensive fashion, encouraging the perspective that she's something of a snob, even going so far as to wear expensive lingerie and jewellery with her school uniform to elevate herself above others.

Regardless of her harsh exterior, Nileya at times does display a warm, nurturing side. This comes out most when doting on her girlfriend, her self-proclaimed "love of her life", Evelyn Tran. Despite Evelyn's legendary promiscuity, Nileya exhibits endless patience with her sweetheart's misadventures. At other times, she might take an interest in the sweet and the innocent, in an attempt to groom them to her liking, but also to protect them. She's displayed this behaviour in the past with Brittany, Cindy and Rupi - sweet classmates that she can't help but feel compelled to protect - and pervert.

Nileya enjoys her reputation as  a 'rich bitch', and will often refer to herself as such.

All About Caramel
Although I'd originally planned for Nileya to be more of a standalone character,  she quickly became a supporting character, involved in most everyone else's lives. I think this is thanks in part to Nileya's popularity with Good Girls readers and the frequent requests and commissions I received to pair Nileya with this character or that one.

Even though Nileya hasn't received a dedicated series yet, she is an important part of Evelyn's story and does receive a lot of attention and love from her fans. Because she so frequently appears in commissions, polls, and in other stories, I've never felt much pressure to tell a Nileya-dedicated story, but I do have more than one in mind. Maybe one day we'll see Nileya star in her own Good Girls chapter - Caramel.

SPECIAL FEATURE - CARAMEL TRIVIA

- The 'Caramel' in Nileya's title refers to two things - the rich caramel colour of her skin, and her interest in urine-play and watersports (drizzling her caramel as it were).

- 'Caramel' was originally going to be the second chapter of Good Girls and was going to focus heavily on Nileya's desire to pee all over the place in secret, wearing nice clothes, and in nice places, and on nice things, to get off. I got to sneak this idea in a couple of places over time, and even got to sneak a little watersports scene in the actual second chapter starring Emily Ma in compensation.

- Nileya's lesbianism, eye colour and her love of watersports are nods to an old coworker of mine who fell in love with her design while I was first sketching her. This girl and I used to check out girls together when we worked at a video game story in a busy mall and she was incredibly supportive when I was first designing these characters. The first Nileya illustration - where she's paired with Evelyn and pees all over her - was based on an idea of hers, and this girl also wore striking blue contacts, which became the inspiration for Nileya's eyes as well.

- Nileya's birthday is the same as my own. I can't even get into the precise reason why this is the case, but the easiest explanation is that I write a bit of myself into Nileya when portraying how much she loves Evelyn (who is my star and favourite character).. so I thought it was appropriate.

- Nileya's first name was inspired by a crush I had when I was younger - a hot Egyptian girl, friend of a friend, who I ended up hanging out with a lot.

- Nileya's eyes aren't actually blue. She wears contacts.
