Hey folks. As mentioned in the post title, it's probably the most important post since russia invaded us. I hate to bring this on, but with the situation considered, I just don't have a right to hesitate. I'll be thankful for couple minutes of your time.
I can't work without electricity. But I can have electricity with your help: as for today, world clearly understands: Ukraine will win. In return, russia, not yet acknowledging, but still knowing this, resorts to the thing it does best - terrorism. russia launches dozens of missiles not at our military bases, but at our critical energy infrastructure, hoping to force Ukraine into negotiations in this way. It doesn't work - but it's not less dangerous anyway. I'm not reporting such cases as much as in past now just because it became a grim routine, not because it has stopped. We need to get through the winter (energy consumption is smaller during summer), and russia knows this. With every attack, some missiles still reach their targets, and energy grid becomes harder to repair.
For instance, as I'm writing this now, I got 💡 first time in 64 hours (2,5 days). The other side of such long-term blackouts is other infrastructure systems (heating, water) are also electricity-powered, so when there's no power for so long, heat and water also stop reaching people apts.
It's possible to solve it, though! All is needed is a generator that transforms fuel to electricity. A decent generator will not only allow me to power up my PC, but also have water pump and heating working properly - and so, not freeze to death, lol.
Such generator costs ~ $ 1,700, and I'll also need to stock a bit of fuel to be sure I'll be able to power it for some time ahead, which is around $ 500 ☝️
I require a surgery: I have an inborn condition related to my breathing. Being allergic adds an extra layer too. Long story short, I spend 75% of my lifetime with constant infections which lead to rhinitis, tonsillitis, dyspnea & some other issues, which gradually degrades my life quality. During one of the last air raids, I received a trauma - not much dangerous by itself, but it made these conditions worse, obstructing my normal breathing further, on top of all the existing stress.
Gladly, this can be fixed too - with a relatively simple surgery. It would cost me ~ $ 2,000.
All in all, a matter of stabilising my health , allowing me to work for ya'll, and my family to get through this winter is ~ $ 4,200. I hate to talk about it, but with the situation considered, I don't have a right to hesitate. I need your help, as the sooner I'll be able to buy/do this, the faster I'll be able to return to regular work despite the situation.
You can donate to me either right here at my Patreon page (there's variety of pledges on the page, but you can also simply edit your current one and make any custom pledge), or via direct transfer (via your bank, or something like Wise system) to my bank account 👇
