August News & Patreon Update (Please Read!)

I've been putting off this update because I've had to gather my thoughts on this, but there's one major change I need to make to this Patreon page and I shouldn't put it off any longer!

What's Changing?

I love the sketch raffles and illustration raffles, but it's time for them to go. The truth is that Patreon does not like chance-based rewards like raffles and lotteries and creators are not actually allowed to use raffles to incentivize pledges! I also disliked the idea that some patrons wouldn't receive much of a reward if they didn't win a raffle for many months. 

I've put this off as long as I could - and I wanted to make sure that I'd be replacing raffles with something even better before removing them!

What's New?

Sketch raffles and illustration raffles will be replaced with illustration polls, and the poll entries will be taken from your suggestions - which means that your ideas will still get made (and no longer based on chance!)

I'll invite patrons pledging at least $5 to let me know what they want to see in the illustration polls starting this weekend.

The other big thing is that I've restructured EVERYTHING to make time for Honeypot Sweeties and for Venus Angels. Venus Angels sketches, illustrations, and developer diaries will become a weekly thing for higher pledge levels. This is probably the most important thing to me right now because it's an avenue for growth for this Patreon page, it's something I know a lot of you want to see, and it is a stepping stone to being something like a successful creator. Basically, it's only a good thing, so it's time to commit to making it happen!

I think this is all good news and a sign of moving in the right direction... I really hope you all think so too and look forward to all the new content coming out!
