This time, by request, some Tangerine Dream! Much ado is made of how the record's in a tonal range so utterly different from my bright little lavalier mic that I could do ASMR whispers the whole time and be clearly heard. It's also a great example of resonance upon resonance, producing sounds that are the polar opposite of modern 'make all the frequency ranges come out for each sound' mix fashion. All in all, this podcast does have a certain amount of Phaedra 'secret sauce', so if you're into Berlin School, come learn how it's done :)

I saw Tangerine Dream at York Minster when they were doing their European cathedrals tour. They set up at the base of the 200 foot high Central/Lantern tower and resonance was almost physical.

2021-03-16 18:37:44 +0000 UTCThis one was excellent... I actually came up with an idea; using different Boomboxes (Ghettoblasters) instead of buying 10+ Amps & create an #ambient symphony just with that... Maybe my early hiphop - background I grew up with, yet also; A very good idea! (:
