For patrons, a headstart
Added 2019-01-27 01:50:13 +0000 UTCI haven't mentioned it anywhere else… but I'm about to go sleep like a rock, having updated ALL the plugins with Floating Point Dithering. This is publically available but nobody else has been told yet. I've included NewUpdates-zip (also live, on the top left on airwindows.com) but also if you go to plugin pages (for Patreon era, VST-enabled plugins) and download them, all those are also updated. The update is for AU, Mac VST, Windows VST, and LinuxVST: they're all live, every one. (things like BitShiftGain and dithers are exempt, they are supposed to not have extra dither on them).
I rarely send out patron-posts. Seemed like this was a good reason to. Go ahead and download the big update: if the site gets slammed or falls over when the big announcement goes out in public, you'll already have your plugins and will be fine :) I hope NewUpdates-zip isn't going into people's mailboxes or something, I'll have to trust Patreon not to be foolish.
Also, NewUpdates-zip has DitherFloat, which is the demo plugin for how floating point dither works. The video will make it more clear. If offset is at 0 and dither is fully at 1.0, the plugin will also dither to 32 bit floating point output if you're working on a 64 bit buss for if you're saving 32 bit files :)
