Moog DFAM Beat Syncing

Thanks to this Patreon, I'm able to work with more interesting equipment, which can give me ideas for plugins and inspiration in general. This will be one of the first Moog DFAM videos 'in the wild' (not part of a promo campaign: I just buy stuff if I can, when times are good).

In this video, I'm demonstrating how to sync a DFAM to a Mother32 (which itself is synced to the rest of an elaborate modular system). You're told to sync it from Assign to Adv/Clock, which is more orderly and controllable. I suspected more was possible.

I'm here to introduce the Airwindows method of syncing DFAM to Mother32. It's much less controllable, but lets both synths erupt in outrageous breaks and noises, including wild audio-frequency howls from the DFAM that can (if your luck is in) drop right back into the same beat. You can have this beat sit as accurately as the Adv/Clock method, or it can push aggressively on the tempo depending on fine settings of the (free running, and hard synced) tempo clocks.

Also, I'm doing this exclusively with the knobs. If you wire a simple control voltage on a pushbutton into the tempo controls (of either or both synthesizer) you can do exactly the same thing with one button push (or chording them) and return to precisely the correct tempo and beat aggressiveness that you had (or, trigger a more aggressive bass drum at will).

This is why I got into modular :)
