DEV LOG #43

Hello everyone, let's dive into our dev log.

This is our first dev log after releasing version 2.11.0. If you haven't downloaded it yet, I recommend checking it out.

I just wanted to quickly explain something. When I'm very close to releasing an update, I realize that creating a dev log just to say that I'm almost done doesn't provide much value. I prefer to focus my time and effort on actually getting the version ready for release. This usually happens when I'm in the final stages of the process, finishing up the coding and running the last tests. That's why our progress bar may sometimes seem to go from 0% to 100% very quickly. Please let me know if this bothers you because, if it does, I'll make sure to create the dev log, even if it's just to let you know that the release is almost here.

One more thing I'd like to clarify is that we were planning to release the survey for the next three updates, but as we were writing the text, it became apparent that we would inadvertently reveal a major story spoiler. This is because Emily will be on the character priority list for the next update.

In the survey text, we included a brief summary of what we would like to introduce in the story of upcoming versions. Therefore, we'll be making it available in a few days, as I will already be sharing some parts of the story we're planning in the upcoming dev logs.

Now, speaking about this version, here's what we have in store.

In this version, we're going to focus on Emily's meeting with the MC. Up to this point, we've been setting up the story for this moment, ensuring that they don't meet in a way that wouldn't make sense for some events that will happen later. So, the complete focus will be on this meeting and the relationship between the two.

We're planning a really substantial version, with many events, and our main goal is to make the relationship with Emily feel genuine, highlighting the bond between the MC and Emily. We're making an effort to ensure that everything turns out beautifully.

In the recent version we released, we showed you the MC's meeting with Sabrina, and in the next version, you'll understand why that event took place. There will be some significant revelations in this version, and we hope you'll enjoy what we have in store.

As we are still in the early stages of development, we don't have many preview images yet because the render queue hasn't started yet. However, we will share them as soon as we have something ready.

We're going to try to create a special song for the couple, and I hope to find the inspiration and time to release this song. Unfortunately, it won't be ready for release on streaming platforms, but we'll do our best to share it with you in another way.
