Time and Effort
Added 2018-02-10 20:10:36 +0000 UTCSince I've started tracking how much I draw a month I've realized just how much I do and how much of my time is spent at my desk. In 41 days, I've drawn 58 things, and while I worry about burn-out, I also worry about how much of my life is spent drawing, I also think about how much I make through Patreon. When I total up the hours and the amount I make, I start to feel sad. At the same time, I worry if I ask for more from my Patrons by raising the tiers, I'll lose some. Gina started out as an extra thing on top of what I already do, but each part takes a few hours. However, if I scale back that series I might lose people. I enjoy doing to art contests, but those, of course take more time. Then I wonder if I need to do more to make more, but I'm already doing too much and I'm certain I can't push myself any further without something breaking. I don't really know what I can do. I think I'm mostly rambling and expressing my anxiety. All I do know is I am tired. Still, I'd like to know how people feel.

Dial it back if you have to. Don't burn yourself out. I agree with SatsumaLord take care of yourself man.

Although the Gina and Contest projects are cool, it's the kinda thing I can live without; especially since I support you more for the webcomic than anything else. Regardless though, take care of yourself first and I hope that things start to feel less stressful for you in the future. :)

I think the Gina saga may have run away with itself some, especially with Wayfarer already existing! Breaks are good, we all need em from time to time. Always good to check the charts even whilst in the middle of a voyage.

2018-02-11 00:23:05 +0000 UTCI am very happy with the current amount of content and interaction, to the point where if you feel you need a breather to scale back or to figure out a more viable way to run things, I’ll stick by you and continue the support. Many have commented how they want you to take care of yourself, showing in general we value you and your health over any decrease in what we would see here on your Patreon. I honestly feel that as long as you do what you feel is best and keep us informed, whatever you decide will be fine.

2018-02-11 00:15:41 +0000 UTCCutting back on the extras might be worth it, or maybe send out polls to each tier asking if they'd continue or drop if the tier went up a dollar or two.

2018-02-10 23:56:07 +0000 UTCFirst, don't worry, keep plugging! Second - you have a body of great work to post here whenever you want! Don't bust your ass just for Patreon! But don't quit either!

2018-02-10 23:10:22 +0000 UTCDo what you gotta do to keep healthy and sane. Personally I think I'd take a scaling back over an increase in price though. Also try branching out on other sites than just FA perhaps.
