Added 2025-06-21 21:26:00 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to episode 11 of Vigilantes! WE WERE RIGHT!!! Dang guys, the theory panned out!!! I can't imagine what KD plans to do to try and, well, de-evil his daughter, but I was enjoying seeing him try!!! Meanwhile Pop is being so gracious and wonderful and Makoto is actually killing it organizing this event! Too bad it looks like it'll attract quite the negative attention!!! Can't wait for the finale! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Thank you so much for the comment, sorry it took me so long to reply! Yesss omg this episode was SUCH a ride, I loved reading all your thoughts on it!! The Kuin/Tamao reveal gave me actual chills, especially because the hints had been there building up to it, and Knuckleduster’s entrance??? Absolutely legendary!! 😭 The way you pointed out his wording about wanting to talk to his daughter and not the bee user is so spot on—it really does make it feel like he’s trying to reach her through all that madness, which makes the fight even more emotional and heartbreaking. And yesss Pop and Koichi’s dynamic here was just adorable, like her grabbing his sleeve and him trying to support her as “manager” melted my heart. 💕 Also your take on all the groups bouncing off each other had me smiling because SAME, the ensemble cast makes everything so much fun. And I was cackling at you bringing up “we’re all simping but be cool about it”—that really does need to be on a shirt!! 😂

I love that you took the time to think about your theory about Kuin being Knuckleduster’s daughter before it was confirmed in this episode because it shows how much investment you have in this story. It’s a lot more obvious with the reveal that she’s his daughter but even in the last episode it’s very conspicuous that when he sees her through his binoculars what he says you’re looking well is very familiar indicating a relationship beyond vigilante & villain. I think it’s wholesome that Koichi is acting as Pop’s manager to help her deal with her anxiety whether she asked or he offered. Also yeah I’m of the opinion that Knuckle directly told Koichi to help Pop to make sure he was out of the way & therefore safe. I like how Pop was very polite when arriving at the office Makoto was using as the meeting for all the people involved in the ensemble showing her nervousness. I love how complementary the design of both the FeatherS with the same colors in different combinations it just looks nice. I wish the FeatherS didn’t do the whole mean girls thing because Pop isn’t used to official concerts but they only said 1 thing & thankfully were much better after that. Although Pop grabbing Koichi’s sleeve right after for comfort is really cute. Something I love a lot about this ensemble having groups with such distinct/different personalities is that it creates a lot of fun/interesting interactions/ways the groups play off of each other. I respect/appreciate how serious/intense everyone but especially the dance squad are about their Art/making the concert a success. Also all of these groups are wild characters LOL. Yes the name of the Madhatters being because they all wear hats as well as a Alice in Wonderland reference is great. The love at 1st sight between the dance squad leader & the Madhatters leader was not necessary at all but it’s so cute/funny because of how shojo it is that I don’t care it’s very entertaining especially the I just found something better than rock line. I’m glad this made the dance leader want to have pretty outfits because the ones Makoto came up with her group are awesome/stunning & it looks great on Pop. Also I love how the animation/visual effects change slightly for those 2 to be more romantic. It’s really impressive to see Makoto easily goes into manager/leader mode coming up with multiple different plans for all these unique & prideful characters quickly like the formation of the 3 singers even when arguments arise. I love how all of these characters have different strengths/weaknesses like Pop being as you said a great performer but not as professional a singer & the FeatherS being great singers but not as used to crowds as Pop. I like that Makoto’s plans are simple but effective/easy to follow i.e. having Pop practice the song & giving the FeatherS stamina training with the dance squad while dealing with the more complicated managerial stuff herself & being good at delegation. Also it’s funny how intense the dance Capt. is about practice because of how devious she looks but I respect the determination/drive. Something cool I realized about the training montage I didn’t notice until a second watch is that the music that plays during it is a pop/rock instrumental of the Department store’s song. It’s sweet that Koichi offers his apartment as the place for Kazuho to practice especially with him going about his daily routine while it looks like he’s enjoying her company/singing. It’s funny that she wants/feels like she needs an audience possibly to deal with anxiety meaning Koichi can’t sleep. I like what they do with Yu hurting her ankle because it’s something many people who have physical jobs/dreams like dancing or sports can empathize with & even people who don’t can at least imagine how something like that feels. Like I do think they deserved some hardship for being mean but not enough to want Yu to miss out on the concert especially after seeing the legitimate hard work they put into getting ready. I love that Pop could have easily been petty and kept the spotlight for herself pushing Yu out because the duo was mean to her but instead she displays how much of a sweetheart she is by coming up with the idea that would take some of the spotlight away from herself but allow Yu to still participate. She definitely got some respect & likability with her kindness and genuine attitude. Also the joke of the Madhatters leader wanting to compliment his love but having Koichi steal his thunder is hilarious especially because Koichi is awful at complimenting people which everyone makes very clear. I almost forgot to say but this author loves to have Captain Celebrity fight Kaiju. His moment of advertising the event is very funny for a guy who named himself Captain Celebrity also the Captain having his own dedicated music in the OST is amazing LOL. You got it right on the money Teruo is the kid who was getting handsy with Pop but different because I have to point out that while he always could turn into an eel he wasn’t always stuck in that form being able to go back into a humanoid form in the other episodes we saw him in & he definitely didn’t have an electric aspect to his quirk before indicating that Kuin used a lot of Trigger on him but I also assumed there was experimentation involved because of her involvement with AFO which feels likely with how different his body is. Once again it’s sad but I love seeing Midnight. I like her comment about how she likes how it feels like a school festival probably remembering festival she experienced at UA as a student. Also Pop hearing Koichi call Midnight sexy & then punching him is a hilarious background element. It was cool to hear some Enka singing it was a good performance. It’s awesome that Mic is the MC for this event & I love getting to see more of what his relationship with Midnight is like instead of just as fellow teachers it’s clear they are friends which isn’t unexpected but it’s still nice. I feel bad for Pop with her anxiety getting to a higher-level the closer it is to the event which is probably a common experience. It’s such an Aizawa thing to talk about how ridiculous & illogical events like this are and being annoyed that he has to attend. I love how he is looking for any excuse to not have to go and almost as if by divine providence a villain shows up it’s really funny because of how excited he is. It’s awesome to see how easily he deals with this “Villain” since this kid is not used to his new body & is mostly doing things based on emotion. I agree I feel bad for the kid since he’s not used to this body, doesn’t seem to know where he is/what’s going on fully & to me it looks like he hurt himself with that electric blast. It’s just unfortunate that it seems like Kuin wanted him to be caught & activate the electric blast because it sounds like she wants to ruin the concert. And it’s interesting that this is all Kuin since AFO doesn’t want the attention which kind of indicates that going after this specific event is something personal. I love Knuckleduster’s entrance talking about no one liking lectures knowing that they are father and daughter. With the way he was talking about wanting to speak with his daughter not the Bee user the wording feels very literal that Tamao is being controlled by the bees like the friend we saw earlier especially since he uses the term host. And to be honest Kuin laughing like a maniac & talking about how he doesn’t want to hurt his daughter basically all but confirms it (her VA is going off as well). It’s crazy that he steps up with a cobbled together stun gun in addition to his normal gear and yeah like you said he’s not the type of person who would hesitate even against his daughter. It definitely feels like he’s the type of character who would see it as saving her it is worth her getting a little hurt he basically is planning on punching the villain out of her LOL. The concept of bomb bees is terrifying I agree but it’s cool for a villain & it’s awesome how it doesn’t deter Knuckle at all I assume what ever experience he has allowed him to read the situation correctly that the secondary explosions were bluffs to get him to back off. This man is a beast because they may have been bluffs but even weak explosions are still explosions the guy has crazy pain tolerance/resilience & a terrifying amount of resolve/determination I don’t blame this villain for being scared & running away. And I love what happens with the animation once the chase begins it does such a great job of showing the speed & movement of these 2 characters as well as how windy it is going around high buildings like that. His comment about how she was playing tag & now hide and seek is cute since he’s talking about his daughter I really I like it. I love the close up shot of the last crazy Knuckleduster facial expression because of how detailed she the movement/animation is. Also once again I’m impressed at Knuckle’s skills running/grappling amount buildings like he does. Finally you said “we’re all simping but be cool about it” in relation to Pop’s fans & Teruo and all I have to say is that needs to be put on a shirt LMAO. Awesome reaction & thoughts. 2025-06-27 21:44:41 +0000 UTCI’ve been waiting for this one. I love this series not only do we get cool cameos, nice callbacks but we also get the fun randomness of its characters. That shoujo stuff with that pair came out of nowhere and had me rooting for them right away. That’s good stuff right there 🤣 I remember the petty twins— one is particularly pettier than the other one. You’ll see that later. Always great to Present Mic and Midnight bless her insatiable heart 🥺 Aizawa was awesome. Yeah I felt bad for our friend here too. He’s just an innocent bystander in all this and it looks like he got an upgrade this time which is more sad to think about. Mmm I’m not looking forward to the break either 😖 😫 😩 But fingers crossed the show goes okay 😬 🐝 🪶 🎩 🕺 💃 🪩
