Dr. Stone 3x01 "New World Map" - reaction & review
Added 2025-06-16 16:01:09 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to episode 1 of season 3 of Dr. Stone! WOW what a way to kick things off you guys! I'm all about the journey for bread! Can't believe we've got wheat, goats, etc. now! It makes total sense that food scarcity was a serious problem for the village! You've gotta give Ryusui credit that in his own way, he does kinda give a hoot about it! Not sure if what they had at the end there could even really be classified as bread though - although the people who'd never had bread before seemed to like it!!! Enjoy!! ~ MH

I'm just now seeing this but I'm curious to see how your opinion of Ryusui is now that we're a bit further into the season!!! XD So sorry for getting back to you so late!

This one episode brought back that early questioning of the population we’ve grown accustomed to. Such a fun little time ended up shedding light on something so sad. I like how they did that. Man here we go again with making me feel guilty. I’m gonna eat some wonder bread 😭

HAHAHAHA we need a Vinland Saga crossover! LOL the thing about people who've never had bread is, anything could fit the bill of bread :P Brioche would be a SICK name for an attack move though! I'll always think of him as an AU Giorno, he even wears gold, I mean cmon :P Haha I see what you did there :P

2025-06-20 21:44:28 +0000 UTCOhayou (sekai!) - Welcome back to the fun madness that is Dr. Stone. Before I comment, allow me to present the relative information to you for scheduling and planning outlines: Dr. Stone: New World consists of a total of 22 episodes over two different cours, and the dividing line is between episode 11 and episode 12. Opening: I can’t copy the text of the title because it’s JP, but it’s by Huwie Ishizaki if you want to seek it out. Ending: “Where Do We Go?” by OKAMOTO’S Also the orchestra version of the special OP was called Good Morning [New World] since you asked. If you’re looking for a description for Ryusui I’d say he’s… flamboyant. He’s a little seedy and he’s definitely greedy, but he’s not the worst kind of ally. He’s just using his personality to amplify his own benefits. I do kinda like the way Kohaku sees right through both him and Gen, though. The “lioness” uses her eyes for more than just distance… Although 20/11 eyesight? I’m a little jealous! 😅 In the meantime, we’ve introduced the farming concept and Gen just had to go and poke the literal bear by making it a competition… sure it was effective, but how much is it just for his own personal enjoyment? Poor Yuzuriha has her work cut out for her staying on top of all these crazy guys… good thing her #1 is a really hard worker. Is Thorfinn and Einar around for this project? You’re pretty correct about the importance of food supplies, but Ukyo does point out that a modern palate is harder to satiate than the people who have no idea what this bread is supposed to be like. Kohaku’s just chowing down on burnt toast and thinking “this is interesting!” Speaking of Kohaku, does she know something about anime, because she thought “brioche” was an attack move… I’m asking the real questions here. I guess you’re learning how to garden from Senku now? You should probably stop calling Ukyo Giorno though, I think you might have a case of JoJo on the brain… in fact after this episode, we all probably KNEAD to stop. I’ll see myself out. 😅
