Orb: On the Movements of the Earth 1x18 "To Liberate Information" - reaction & review
Added 2025-06-11 13:43:45 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to episode 18 of Orb!! Wow, we got a lot more of everyone's in-depth belief system in this one! I've gotta say, Schmidt and Draka don't see eye to eye on a LOT of fundamental things, yet here they are, able to work together and actually talk to each other, what an idea!!! Also, I had actual money on the fact that the leader of the Liberation Front is Jolenta and YAY, I called it!!!!! Can't wait for more! Enjoy! ~ MH

It’s pretty entertaining and it’s so odd how relieving is felt to see an actual exchange of ideas rather than huge disagreement to the point of executing. Dueces by the way uncle ✌️ Oh my gawd!!!! Jolenta!!!! I’m going on to the next!!!!!

2025-06-19 11:06:13 +0000 UTCOhhhhh I actually hopped into comments today so YAY, happy bday to him! He is killing it on this show....sadly quite literally also hahah! LOL she's all about those orbs :P Ohhhh ok, I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought, but still. It's interesting to think of the details of what Schmidt and Draka were debating. It comes down to the fundamentals of who calls the shots in our lives - and that varies depending on who you ask, like you said. That's so true!!! And yeah, it's a shame more people can't just hear someone else out, or at least be open to the idea that not everyone thinks the same as them. I know, she must have an amazing memory, sheesh! Oh yeah, the uncle got his karma alright. Lol yeah, we can agree on that regardless of what you believe caused it! OMG Jolenta!!!! So happy to see her again!!!!!!

2025-06-11 20:27:04 +0000 UTCIt might be a few days before you see this, but should mention that Nowak’s VA just had a birthday so - seems appropriate to call it out on this show, right? :P “Buffy loves Orb, she thinks it’s a ball.” - I see what you did there… As far as the Church buying people, I don’t think it’s probably what your first instinct was - my theory is this is how they increase their staff - servants, soldiers, etc. - by obtaining people to help with their operation - they probably “adopt” a lot of orphans and such for that purpose. It makes it sound a bit more plausible than… the other thing you thought of , any way - particularly in this setting. The conversation between Schmidt and Draka is very deep and thought out on both sides, but it also shows the fundamental issue in getting people to be on the same page because even though they share a lot of common beliefs, their fundamental values differ so much that neither one knows exactly what to do with the other’s thought process. The application of “God’s will” is the chief focal point - whether you’re being led somewhere or you’re making all your own choices, is that a design you’re following, or not? Truth is extremely hard to discern when parts of it clash, but that makes it all the more valuable when you discover it beyond a shadow of a doubt (much like the heliocentric theory). They said Shari g different opinions is how reason is created. That might be so, but not everyone is willing to listen to the other side, so it’s interesting that they stopped at just talking. I think the scene where Schmidt greets the sun and Draka is hiding from it indicates the metaphor for the biggest divide between both of their philosophies. She really memorized that book after reading it once? I wonder what it’s like to have photographic memory. The uncle fell victim to karma, that’s all I’ll say about that. Maybe he got there himself, maybe it was God. It depends on who you ask, but which one is the right answer? If you can figure that out maybe you should write a book. :P Hi, Jolenta, where’ve you been for 25 years? 👀
