Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 2 episode 22 of Haikyu!! OMG!!! Yamaguchi's moment had me just about in tears! I am so proud of him! Not only has he worked so hard for this, and not only did he KILL IT out there and grab us a bunch of points, but he also really got the rest of the team pumped!! Seijoh may have taken this set, but there were still a ton of wins in here for Karasuno in my book!! Good stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

For sure! That's crazy! What a boss! It's a good trope though! The serve is no joke for sure. I know, even though they didn't win-win, I'm hoping they can get back in a good headspace to take the next set!

2025-05-20 14:05:55 +0000 UTCYamaguchi is definitely the star of this particular episode… I believe they started down four and he served five straight points, but that’s not me checking just guessing off the top of my head. I think we went from 23-19 to 23-23. Remember the win rule: first team to 25 but must win by at least two points. Yeah, we all know the trope - failing horribly at something, working to improve, and then finally seeing it pay off. It’s not anything new, but everyone relates to it, that’s why it works as well as it does. The focus in this episode is on the serve, however. The interesting thing about the serve is it’s something every player is asked to do, and it can make all the difference in winning or losing. But you’re also isolated from your teammates as it’s the one move where you have to do everything yourself. It can get pretty nerve wracking, like high pressure free throws in basketball with no time left. Which is why players like Oikawa who can do it so well are impressive specimens. Karasuno made a good gonebavk try thanks to Yanaguchi’s efforts, but Seijoh is still in the match so… it’s winner take all. Hopefully, at least, they started to build a little counter momentum… 👀
