Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 2 episode 20 of Haikyu!! Oh wow!!! How amazing was it to watch our crew show off all they've learned?! Whether or not Seijoh was expecting it, they have improved so much and were not gonna be put to shame in this match!!!! But I don't know what's going on with this new player...something tells me it could be bad for us!!! We'll see! Good stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

Exactly, it's all strategy! Hahaha yeah that's a pretty airtight rule! Kiyoko has always totally been a secret boss! LOL all's fair in volleyball and ramen I guess! Thanks for explaining! The rules can be tough to remember for sure but I think I'm starting to get it!

Oh yay! Yeah still really impressive! Mad Dog is one scary pooch! I know Oikawa wants to harness all that raw power though!

Oikawa’s spike went outside the line so luckily our point. Still that was impressive. Yeah that crazy scary looking guy is “Mad Dog.” Oikawa was looking to tame his wild nature for this match.

Oikawa’s jabs at people like Kageyama aren’t him just being a jerk, there’s intentional meaning behind it. He’s trying to use psychological warfare to get in his opponent’s head before the match and fluster them. It’s quite commonly referred to as “trash talk.” It happens everywhere, but the key is how well you can take it as well as dish it out. There is one ironclad rule in the book that never changes: teenage girls are always going to catch the attention of teenage boys - it doesn’t matter what country you’re from. Karasuno’s managers are no exception, the difference being that Kiyoko knows how to handle unwanted attention and Yachi’s uh… still learning the ropes. Kiyoko might actually be a secret boss based on the interlude scene where she knocks over the water bottle. Yachi’s still knocking Hinata over instead though… Seijoh’s players might be distracting Oikawa because they want him to buy ramen? I mean… totally legit motivation, am I right? 😅 Finally, explanation on Oikawa’s serve: when you serve the ball you have to both get it over the net and into the playing area. Obviously he got it over the net, but it was so far over it landed past the back line and was out. So the point went to Karasuno. This might help: the referees at the back corners have flags they use to indicate in or out: If the flag is raised straight up, the ball was out without being touched by the team on that side. If the flag is touched by the ref’s hand, the ball went out after being touched by the team on the receiving side. If the flag is pointed down, the ball landed in the playing area. It’s hard to remember everything I know, but those are particularly important to remember so try to get them ingrained at least. :)
